Jervis council approves IGA with Marion County for public-works antenna equipment

Staff said Marion County has historically mounted equipment at the facility and the proposed IGA would set limits on the amount, location and access for county equipment while preserving the city’s authority to determine placement and hours. The city attorney and city engineer reviewed the draft and reported no concerns about the city’s obligations under the agreement.
A councilor moved to approve the IGA and authorize the mayor to execute it. The motion was seconded and the council voted unanimously to approve the agreement. No members of the public spoke against the measure.
Councilors noted the agreement is intended to formalize long-standing operational arrangements rather than authorize new equipment beyond the county’s existing radio-communications needs.
