Chanceford hears fire and EMS updates; new engine arriving and EMS contract presentation scheduled

Ron Witmer of New Bridgeville Fire Company reported 32 calls in May, 14 of them medical, and announced an upcoming pulled‑pork fundraiser. Tyler Burkins of Alliance Fire & Rescue said his company responded to 106 calls in May, 12 within Chanceford Township and seven medical calls; he added that a newly purchased engine has arrived and is being upfitted.
Chairman Kent Heffner summarized Southern York County EMS activity for April—154 calls, 57 in Chanceford Township—and noted the township will be represented at a contract presentation scheduled for 7 p.m. on June 24 at the Airville Fire Company; Heffner said he will attend on the township's behalf.
