Board approves personnel appointments, accepts resignations and retirements

The Metcalfe County Board of Education approved a package of personnel actions at its April 14 meeting as part of the consent agenda.
Appointments included Ethan Birdwell as MCHS volleyball coach (effective 7/1/2025), Daniel Pierce as MCMS assistant baseball coach, Paisley England as a 21st CCLC afterschool student mentor and Jim Goff as a bus monitor, among others. The consent list also named substitutes, approved medical leaves, and recorded resignations and retirements, including Lynn Caffee-Hawkins (teacher) and Patty Bunch (Family Resource Director) listed with retirements effective June 30, 2025.
Wes Jolly moved to approve the consent items, Cassie Reece seconded, and the motion passed unanimously with all five board members voting yes.
