Chanceford supervisors approve cost‑share for road widener, update on Fenmore Road work

The Chanceford Township Board heard a roadmaster report May 11 that the road crew is progressing on the Fenmore Road Dirt and Gravel Project, including installation of two culvert pipes and use of a hydra‑dig contractor to locate buried electric and telephone lines.
Chairman Kent Heffner said the buyer picked up a 299 CAT loader sold by the township last week. Lower Windsor expressed interest in sharing the purchase of a 2023 road widener; Bradley Smith moved and the board unanimously approved splitting the cost of the widener (estimated at $18,000), which had low hours and sold new for about $78,000.
The engineer also reported meetings with Lancaster County Conservancy regarding access to Eagle View and said the recreation property parking lot post‑construction stormwater management plan is progressing, with PNDI returning Bog Turtle information and work on NPDES permit forms ongoing.
