Glide students honored at board meeting; high school recaps homecoming and announces FFA trip

Board members and staff recognized students across grade levels with SB Awards and T-shirts, then heard student and staff reports about recent school activities.
Janet read awards for students from senior Noah Eichenbusch to kindergarten student Niall Dreyer, praising leadership, kindness and academic effort. "Noah is a talented, brilliant, and kind young man," Janet said while introducing one of the senior recognitions.
An elementary student reporter, Olivia O'Dell, told the board that the school's color run had 160 participants and that more than $11,000 in pledges were made. She also noted community partnerships that supported school events, including the Wolf Creek Job Corps and the Cow Creek Tribe of Indians, which helped lead a camas-area ceremonial burn that the school expects will support a future camas harvest.
High school student Noah Eichenbusch reported on homecoming activities and extracurriculars, thanked coaches and staff, and promoted the drama club's upcoming production (Dec. 11-13 at the middle school stage). He also said GLIDE FFA will attend the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis on Oct. 21-24.
Board members praised staff and volunteers for fostering a positive school culture, thanked chaperones and coaches, and encouraged community support for student activities. The chair then called a brief recess before moving on to the board's governance business.
