At its June 11 meeting, the Beaman City Council approved vendor applications for the Ragbria event and authorized alcohol sales for certain vendors on city property, and separately approved a liquor license and outdoor service area for Beaman Grill N Pit.
On a motion by Council member Brandon Schleisman, seconded by Rhonda Rego, the council approved vendor applications for Suman Hoque (HoQ), Hangloose Nutrition and the Beaman Betterment Club. The motion passed with five affirmative votes.
Council then voted, on a motion by Rhonda Rego and seconded by Hoss Tompkins, to allow Suman Hoque (HoQ) and Beaman Betterment Club to sell alcohol on city property during the Ragbria event; that motion also passed unanimously.
Separately, the council approved a liquor license and an outdoor service area for Beaman Grill N Pit after a motion from Brandon Schleisman and a second from Jason Scafferi. The council recorded Ayes: 5 on that motion.
The approved permits authorize vendors and the restaurant to serve alcohol at specified event locations; the council did not record additional conditions or limiting language in the meeting minutes. The city clerk will process the vendor permits and the liquor license paperwork.
