Council members and staff discussed maintenance responsibilities and suggested working with city staff for long-term upkeep; a staff representative said Troy (parks/streets staff) had indicated initial approval of the location. Councilor Renard moved to allow the project as an Eagle Scout effort; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote.
Weeder told the council he expects to begin procurement in May and tentatively complete construction by June, weather permitting.
