The presenter (Sarah, El Dorado Inc.) said 27 of the 35 leads in 2025 involved projects with capital scales above $100 million and that project needs ranged widely, including water demands up to 4 million gallons per day and power requirements as high as 500 megawatts for some prospects. She described internal task forces, certification of roughly 300 acres of city-owned industrial land on the west side of the turnpike and continued engagement with the Kansas Department of Commerce and the Greater Wichita Partnership.
El Dorado Inc. also noted local expansion and housing activity: 28 new residential starts in 2025, $4.6 million in housing permits and $16 million in commercial permits, with major local projects such as a Quail Ridge apartment remodel and a Barton Solvents expansion. The presenter urged continued focus on infrastructure readiness and downtown housing investment to support long-term recruitment and sustainability.
