The Haskell County Commissioners met and unanimously approved several routine administrative items, including a memorandum of understanding between the Haskell County Sheriff’s Department and McCurtain Public Schools, appointments to the county clerk’s office and the county’s financial statement for fiscal year 2026.
The board reviewed the MOU with McCurtain Public Schools and, with no changes, voted to sign the agreement. The commissioners then approved Resolution 312667 appointing Judy Dixon and Elizabeth Beardsley as receiving officers and Madison Price and Hannah Labor as requisitioning officers for the county clerk’s office for fiscal year 2627. A separate resolution, 312668, appointed Madison Price as first deputy for the county clerk’s office and was approved by the board.
Commissioner Clark McCleary said of one item under review, “It’s the same as it was last year,” and the board proceeded to approve it. The county’s financial statement for fiscal year 2026 was reviewed and adopted by unanimous roll-call vote. The board also approved closing document K1016-26 for District 1 in the amount of $84.20 and authorized routine appropriations, transfers and payment of checks and purchase orders.
Votes at a glance: all recorded motions were carried by a unanimous roll-call vote. Commissioners recorded as voting yes in the roll calls were Commissioner Clark McCleary, Commissioner Larry Watson and Commissioner Billy Cloud.
The meeting adjourned after the approvals.
