Logan County Schools celebrates dozens of student academic and extracurricular winners

Eaton called dozens of county winners forward — essay contest winners (Ireland Curry, Nevaeh Collins, Kenley Webb, others), the county spelling‑bee runner‑up Anna Vance and state competitors, Golden Horseshoe honorees, math field‑day placewinners, and social studies fair winners (including students who advanced to state). Eaton highlighted that 66 students placed at regionals and 15 advanced to the state level, with a number of state recognitions noted.
The program also recognized SkillsUSA competitors, state and regional placements across many categories, and teacher/service‑personnel awardees; Dr. White later named Crystal Christian as teacher of the year and Alice Bill Deese as service‑personnel of the year for 2026–27.
Board members and attendees offered repeated congratulations to students and staff. The board recessed briefly before starting formal business.
