The board named Mr. Ottergerio as its representative to the Mountain State Educational Services Cooperative Governing Council and appointed Mr. Alderman as its designee to the West Virginia University Extension Service; both appointments passed by voice vote, recorded as 5–0.
During discussion, one board member cautioned that cutting meeting frequency could be perceived as increased state control and might pose public-relations risks while efforts continue to restore local control.
