Mayor: Splash pad nearing substantial completion; Kleinfelder to fund FLIP mailer; interim director leaves July 2

Bennett Norley of Kleinfelder Engineering is finishing a 6-by-11 postcard for the FLIP project; the final cost is $4,200, which Kleinfelder has agreed to cover, the mayor said.
The mayor and council thanked Interim Safety Service Director Jim Sass for his service; the meeting announced Sass's last day will be Thursday, July 2, 2026, and he was presented with a thank-you cake. Sass also reported that Browns Dairy Dock will open a second location at the Lakeview Park concession stand as it upgrades equipment.
