The Ladue City Council on June 15 voted unanimously on a series of ordinances and resolutions, approving pension-plan updates, an amendment to the municipal inmate housing contract, an insurance renewal, and several resolutions related to flood mitigation, stormwater reimbursement, park grant funding and engineering agreements.
Bill No. 2411, an amended and restated pension plan for salaried employees of the organized fire and police departments (and survivors/dependents), was read and approved on second reading; Council Member John Howell moved approval and the roll-call vote was four ayes and zero nays.
Bill No. 2412, adopting an amended and restated pension plan for employees not covered by the city's fire/police pension plan, was likewise read and approved on second reading with a unanimous roll-call vote. Bill No. 2413 authorizing the mayor to execute an amendment to the contract for housing municipal inmates with St. Louis County was read and approved on second reading with a unanimous vote.
The council approved a one-year renewal of Property & Casualty insurance with Travelers and Workers' Compensation insurance with Missouri Employers Mutual, noting the overall premium reflected a 14% increase over the prior year but could be absorbed due to lower-than-budgeted medical insurance renewal costs.
Resolutions approved included Resolution 2026-20 (FMA Voluntary Buyout Policy), Resolution 2026-21 (property restrictions for FMA buyouts and project manager identification), Resolution 2026-22 (OMCI Stormwater Reimbursement Program inter-agency agreement), Resolution 2026-23 (Municipal Park Grant Program funding submission for Deer Creek Preserve Phase 2) and Resolution 2026-24 (supplemental agreement with Horner and Shifrin for S. 40 Drive shared use path design). Other routine approvals included vouchers for payment, renewal of liquor licenses for 2026-27 and an agreement with STL Programs for the 2027 Community Directory.
Where roll-call votes were recorded, the four council members present — William Brennan, Harold Burroughs, Patrick Hensley and John Howell — voted "Aye."
