Fulshear board opens statutorily required public hearing on roughly $766,667 in FY26 project proposals

The Culture Development Corporation opened a statutorily required public hearing at 6:01 p.m. Monday to allow public comment on the board’s proposed projects for fiscal year 2026. The board read an executive summary and listed proposed expenditures totaling about $766,667.
The board identified four specific proposals: a Katy/Fulshear lift-station expansion estimated at $600,000; a Texas Heritage Parkway interlocal agreement at $91,667; community events at $50,000; and a Fulshear business entrepreneurship hub at $25,000. The chair said the notice and hearing followed resolution FTC 2025-05 and a public notice published July 24, 2025, starting the required 60-day comment period.
“Public notice of the project, and this public hearing was published on 07/24/2025,” the chair said as the board opened the hearing. No members of the public had signed up to speak, and the chair closed the hearing at 6:02 p.m.
The hearing was described as a formal opportunity to receive public comment rather than a discussion item; the board will retain the record for the statutorily required comment period before any project authorizations proceed.
