During the public-comment period, resident Matt Makhniak told the council that traffic funnels from I‑90 exits onto his Roosevelt Avenue block near Midtown and that the removal of resident parking signs has created hardship for neighbors. He asked the council to consider restoring a permanent resident-parking solution similar to the existing program described in city code chapter 10.22.
The mayor said the matter was raised with the council president recently and that reactivating a permanent resident-parking program will be a large discussion for the council; no immediate action was taken at the meeting.
