Gladwin authorizes contract negotiations to offer three-year deal to City Administrator Kimberly Hines

Council Member Smith moved to proceed with offering City Administrator Kimberly Hines a three-year employment contract and to authorize contract negotiations; Council Member Crawford seconded. The roll call vote recorded ayes from Council Members Caffrey, Crawford, Darlington, Platt, Smith and Winarski and a single nay from Council Member Esiline; Council Member Gutierrez was absent. The motion carried and the council authorized staff to negotiate details of a three-year contract for Hines.
The council did not publish finalized contract terms at the June 1 meeting. The motion authorized negotiations only; subsequent negotiation outcomes and final contract approval will require return to council for ratification.
