Donald J. Trump used a Marietta event to endorse multiple Georgia candidates, praise local business leaders and bring sports figures onstage.
Trump named state senator Brian Strickland, Greg Doswell, Tim Fleming and Houston Gaines among elected officials and candidates he said have his endorsement. He urged the crowd to support them at the ballot box, repeatedly linking those endorsements to his broader policy platform on economy and border security.
Rick Jackson, introduced by the president as a Georgia business leader, told the crowd he would push the state to match the federal contribution to the Trump accounts program with an additional $1,000 per child and said he believed the state legislature would approve it; he added he would personally donate the funds if the legislature did not. "When I become governor, I'm gonna push the state of Georgia to match the federal contribution with another thousand dollars," Jackson said onstage.
Trump also invited Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker and a Braves executive, identified as Mike Plant, to present him with a commemorative jersey; both exchanged brief remarks and the president praised the team. The rally featured applause and visible local-person testimonials but did not produce any official state actions or commitments recorded onstage.
