Counsel for the applicant explained the purchase is a membership purchase of the existing entity rather than formation of a new LLC; the buyer, Ranju Solmagiri, was sworn and described months of on‑site experience at the restaurant. Counsel said Solmagiri will be the sole licensee and intends to rely on a certified manager and to ensure all staff handling alcohol are alcohol‑awareness certified.
Board members asked about manager certification, recordkeeping and whether the applicant will be on site regularly. Solmagiri said she currently works at the restaurant daily, and identified one manager who is TIP/alcohol‑awareness certified. Member questions also flagged a discrepancy in the background check address versus the applicant’s driver's license; board staff and counsel agreed the address should be corrected as a condition of approval.
Commissioner Coleman moved to approve; the motion passed on roll call. Counsel for the applicant waived the right to administrative review. Board staff will follow up to confirm the applicant updates the background/address records and provides documentation of manager certification.
