The Fairway City Planning Commission approved the submitted plans for 5935 Reinhardt Drive at its Nov. 24 meeting. Staff reported the site contains a sport court and additional hardscape that will require both a special-use permit for a sport court and a green-space exception.
Staff said the property owner (listed in the agenda as Joyce Meyer) and project team have a timeline to deliver required materials; staff referenced the new owner’s deadline of Dec. 1 to submit a survey, watershed analysis and other items needed for the permit review. Commissioners confirmed the property has a generator and that the generator already exists; staff clarified the commission was not granting coverage for that equipment in the current action.
After discussion, the commission approved the plans as submitted. Staff noted that if outstanding application materials are not provided by the deadline, staff may work with the applicant on timing and next steps and that additional approvals (special-use permit, green-space exception) will be processed through normal channels.
