Council approves consent agenda including pool, parks and SuperPass agreements

Fairway City Council approved its consent agenda unanimously at the Jan. 12 meeting. Items listed by the mayor included approval of previous meeting minutes; claims and appropriations under ordinance 1841 (December 2025); and agreements with vendors and partners for city projects and services.
Approved contracts and interlocal agreements noted in the consent agenda included an agreement with Applied Tech Services for pool house access control upgrades; an agreement with Maya Enterprises for pool painting; a purchase and installation agreement with Midwest Golf Innovations for golf simulators; an agreement with McConnell and Associates for Petersen Park tennis court reconfiguration and resurfacing; an interlocal with Johnson County for 2026 CARS funding; and a 2026 SuperPass and swim‑meet interlocal agreement. The council heard no public comment on these items. Council member Joe moved to approve and the motion passed unanimously.
Council members and staff said many of the parks and recreation expenditures are supported by the 2026 budget and that one of the items is expected to generate revenue. No items were removed from the consent agenda for separate consideration.
