The Wingate ABC Spirits board approved a 2025–26 budget amendment and adopted the 2026–27 budget at its regular meeting on June 15, 2026. Board chair Greg Doyle and other board members supported both motions, which passed with all in favor.
The actions followed reviews of the store’s recent financials. General Manager Nichole Callahan reported sales figures and described adjustments the store has made in response to broader market softness; she said, "ABC May sales were down 1.82% a total of $3,900," and added that May sales were up $24,600 compared with May 2024. Callahan also said, "MXB sales for May were up $4k this month vs last year." When Doyle asked whether the store was in a good position, Callahan said yes, noting that "last year we were able to straighten the store around and sales were up substantially." The transcript did not define the acronym "MXB."
Finance Officer Liz Hinson distributed financial statements and told the board that net income is up for the year and that operating expenses have been tightened. She presented a narrow budget amendment for 2025–26 intended to cover a few items through the fiscal year; the board approved the amendment with a motion from Jonathan Hucks and a second from Kenneth Thompson. The board then adopted the 2026–27 budget on a motion by Greg Doyle and a second by Kenneth Thompson; the minutes record the outcome as AIF (all in favor).
Board business otherwise was brief. Members discussed an upcoming ABC conference scheduled Aug. 23–25 and noted an Aug. 14 sign-up deadline; Kenneth Thompson said he would not attend and Doyle said he would confirm his plans. There were no public comments and no board member remarks at the end of the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 6:34 PM; the next regular meeting is Monday, July 20 at 6:00 PM.
