Phoebe Brummett was appointed as the district’s voting delegate for the Kansas Association of School Boards convention Nov. 15–17, 2024.
The minutes record proposed insurance figures for the renewal: 2023–24 EMC rates of $159,449 and proposed 2024–25 EMC rates of $199,311.25, which the minutes describe as a 25% increase. The minutes also list proposed deductibles (including a $75,000 per-house deductible) and other line items for worker’s compensation, auto, general liability and cyber coverages. The board moved to renew insurance with KICS and the motion carried 6-0.
