District Manager Chuck Adams told the board the proposed FY2026 budget is similar to the current year but reflects a mix of increases, decreases and adjustments that result in a net reduction of approximately $4,000 in appropriations. Adams said the O&M assessment is projected to fall by $2.88 per unit year-over-year. The board adopted the resolution on a motion by Supervisor Arthur Rhodes, seconded by Supervisor Carol Vaughan, with all in favor.
The change affects the district's 1,406 homes and will be considered at the July public hearing, where residents can comment before final adoption. Adams said he reviewed the specific budget adjustments with the board during the meeting but did not list line-item amounts in the minutes.
The board previously added edits to the February 18 meeting minutes to reflect attendees and clarifications related to this issue; the amended minutes were approved later in the April 15 meeting. The Notice of Public Hearing will be filed by district counsel and posted as required under Florida law.
