Council continued four public hearings concerning potentially substandard structures at properties on South Euclid Lane (2274, 2304, 2316 and 2328) to the council's next meeting on Aug. 3 to allow staff time to confirm remediation and finalize any condemnation or removal actions.
Earlier in the meeting staff reported that structures at 2274 South Euclid Lane had largely been demolished, and counsel and staff agreed a continuance would allow verification of remaining outbuildings and the pool before making a formal condemnation determination. Later in the meeting a resident, Venkat Morari, said the properties had in fact been demolished as of that day; the council nevertheless moved to continue the hearings to Aug. 3 to confirm completion and close the matter in the record.
Motions to continue each hearing to Aug. 3 were offered and carried unanimously, 6–0. Staff will inspect the sites and report back at the next meeting.
