The event combined registration services and resources for families, the parent said, including help for children who were not yet enrolled and on-site checks of required documents. The staff member framed the roundup as part of the district's efforts to "connect the community to the love of learning, learning to read, learning to explore," and called the district "more than just a school."
Parents described their at-home preparation for school, such as reading books and practicing writing a child's name, and credited district staff with supporting parents through summer outreach and materials.
