Bowdle council accepts Main Street, sewer pay apps and hires mapping work for water assets

Mayor Rick Boschee updated the council on the Main Street and sanitary sewer projects at the May 5 meeting. Finance Officer Carrie Poirier presented three pay-related items: Main Street pay application #5 for $208,960.12, sewer pay application #3 for $156,403.69, and Change Order #1 (sewer) for $15,767.60. The council voted to accept all three items.
Poirier also presented NECOG invoices totaling $14,000 related to the Main Street and sanitary sewer projects. The council approved those invoices as part of the project billings.
Separately, the council approved hiring SD Rural Water to perform curb stop and sewer mapping for the city, with estimated costs of about $2,000.
Rodney Schlecht reported that Dahme Construction will begin milling on the Main Street business block to the water tower beginning next week, providing a near-term construction schedule milestone.
The motions to accept pay applications and the mapping work carried by unanimous vote.
