Bowdle council approves consent calendar, payroll and city claims; tables proposed investment move

The council approved city payroll and a detailed list of payment-of-claims after review (motion by Russ Maier; second by Rex Gab). The payment lists included line items such as the Dahme Construction Main Street invoice ($177,710.70), utility payments and a range of vendor claims.
Brian Scherr attended to represent a transfer of a retail on/off malt beverage and SD Farm Wine license from KLS Innovations, Inc. to Bowdle Pit Stop Inc.; the council approved the transfer (motion by Russ Maier; second by Amber Shaykett). The council discussed moving funds from Raymond James to SD Fit but tabled that item until more information is obtained.
The council set the next regular meeting for Monday, Nov. 4, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., and adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
