At the start of the meeting the board approved the minutes from the May 18 council meeting. The session then moved through a consent agenda that included a $750 transfer for sheriff equipment described as "Calvary Vests," a $500 carryover for EMS training begun last year, and a $2,500 EMS appropriation for related needs. Commissioners also approved appropriations tied to storage for a Milan shed (multiple entries listing $4,000 and $1,000), a $1,000 transfer to restock stamps for the extension office, and small health-department items, including a $300 donation-related appropriation.
The board adopted additional appropriations tied to EMS grant funding. Chair identified a $22,113 EMS grant and clarified a $6,287 line that the clerk said referred to the same grant. Commissioners approved these grant-related appropriations by motion and a unanimous vote.
In transportation business, the commission approved appropriations connected to a bridge/property purchase and accepted $28,357 tied to a Community Crossings grant. Court services received an appropriation for insurance on a new service van; the transcript records the amount verbatim as "$10.68 dollars." All consent items were moved, seconded and approved by a six-member show of hands.
