Walnut Creek council adopts TBID annual assessment for FY27

The Walnut Creek City Council on July 21 adopted a resolution levying the Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) annual assessments for fiscal year 2026–27 following a short presentation from Economic Development Manager Mike Neiman and confirmation that staff had received no written protests.
Neiman told the council the TBID had completed its annual report and noticed the public on the continuation of the assessment; he said no protests had been received to date. A motion to adopt the resolution was made, seconded, and approved by unanimous roll call, with council members recorded as voting "aye." No public speakers appeared in person or remotely on the item.
The adoption allows the TBID to collect the assessments proposed in the submitted report and staff will proceed with normal TBID implementation steps.
