Council tables consideration of Mountain West operator contract, archery building agreement and Hillside easement

Representatives Matt Foster and Dustin Parkinson of Mountain West Water Operators described their ability to provide Class IV operator services for Preston’s wastewater treatment plant; council voted to table the item until the company submits a written proposal. Benton Christensen, speaking for the Archery Club, asked when negotiations should start on renewing the 1997 purchase agreement for the Bear River Archers building (expires in November 2027); council asked the club to consider helping with building upkeep and tabled further discussion. Mayor Dan Keller said the council believes there is an implied easement related to a water line in Hillside Subdivision but requested more investigation and the council tabled the matter to retrieve more information.
