At its March 5 meeting the Rigby City Council completed routine business, approving the consent agenda with a correction to the minutes, accepting a nomination to the airport board and authorizing a professional services agreement with Keller Associates.
Councilman Alex Espinosa moved to approve the consent agenda and Councilman Reed Stone seconded; the minutes were corrected to change a reference from “foot” to “percent” regarding setback reductions (50% vs 50 ft) and the motion carried unanimously. Later, the council accepted Terrell Poole’s nomination to the Jefferson County Airport Committee; the mayor administered the oath of office after the nomination was approved.
Jaden of Keller Associates explained the proposed agreement, which would provide as‑needed engineering review—such as pump capacity and design feasibility checks—for Planning and Zoning and Public Works. The firm bills for time spent; the transcript notes the City had not used the service in about five years but that staff (referred to as “Mitch” in the transcript) had recently contacted the firm due to upcoming subdivisions. Councilwoman Tonya Hillman moved to approve the agreement; Councilman Reed Stone seconded and a roll‑call vote recorded all Yes votes. Councilman Reed Stone then moved to adjourn; the meeting adjourned unanimously.
