Priest River council approves consent agenda, employee holiday bonuses and a USDA‑RD draw

The Priest River City Council on Dec. 16 approved a range of routine actions and administrative measures during a meeting at City Hall.
The council unanimously approved the consent agenda, which included minutes from Dec. 2, payables, the November reserve transfer, the November treasurer’s report, and Resolution 24‑085 tied to Liberty Land Works & Excavation and an 8‑inch waterline extension related to The Highlands development. Council Member Mullaley moved to approve the consent agenda; Council Member Turner seconded and the motion passed with Council Members Mullaley, Turner and Wagner voting yes; Council Member Brower was absent.
Council approved a Cooperative Acceptance Agreement renewal with CINTAS for public works uniforms and mats after brief discussion. Council Member Turner moved approval; Council Member Mullaley seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
On employee compensation, Council Member Turner moved, and Council Member Mullaley seconded, approval of a $300 holiday bonus for all city employees; the motion passed unanimously.
The council also approved the 2025 council meeting schedule (motion by Council Member Mullaley, second by Council Member Turner) and authorized draw #20 from the USDA‑RD grant for water system improvements to pay Welch Comer Invoice #14778280‑013 in the amount of $85.00 (motion by Council Member Mullaley, second by Council Member Wagner). Council thereafter approved Resolution 24‑086 to transfer funds in the State Investment Pool (motion by Council Member Mullaley, second by Council Member Turner); both motions passed unanimously.
During the public comment period resident Anne Wilder‑Chamberlain suggested the city’s elected officials attend lunch at the Happy Ager’s Senior Center; the transcript records the comment but no formal council action in response. The meeting adjourned at 6:15 p.m. following a motion by Council Member Mullaley and second by Council Member Turner.
