FyberCom agreed to use flowable fill for all pavement patches, assume responsibility for costs associated with any sewer-line damage, and perform camera inspections of lateral sewer lines where cleanouts are present. The company also committed to assign a project manager to the city and provide weekly installation plans.
Council members emphasized the need to coordinate construction with federally supported BEAD program timelines and to protect city infrastructure during installation. Councilwoman Melanie Allen moved to approve the permit-variance request; Councilman Alex Espinosa seconded. The roll-call vote was Allen yes, Tonya Hillman yes, Alex Espinosa yes, Timothy Howe yes, Kevin Bradshaw no.
The approval allows FyberCom to proceed under the revised permit and bonding terms; council discussion did not record specific conditions beyond those FyberCom presented. City staff will coordinate with the company on schedule and infrastructure protections as the project proceeds.
