Post Falls to hold summer school and credit recovery at Post Falls Middle School June 23–July 31; meals and bussing provided

Assistant Superintendent Trina Caudle told the board that, because of summer maintenance projects, summer school and high-school credit recovery sessions will be held at Post Falls Middle School from June 23 through July 31.
Caudle said high-school credit recovery will run in two sessions, 7:45–9:45 a.m. and 10 a.m.–12 p.m., with Dean Strawn serving as principal for the high-school program. Middle school students in grades 7 and 8 will attend 8 a.m.–12 p.m.; Brian Carlson will serve as principal for the middle-school summer program. Breakfast, lunch and bussing will be provided to students during both programs.
Caudle also said middle-school end-of-year IReady data are still pending full results; the summer schedule is meant to provide credit-recovery opportunities and maintain academic continuity during maintenance on other campuses. The board did not take a vote on the summer-school logistics at this meeting; the item was informational and operational.
