Rigby council approves sewer latecomers agreement for Fieldstone Meadows

Public Works Director Mitch Bradley presented a latecomers agreement for Fieldstone Meadows, explaining the city has approved many water latecomers agreements but this is the first for sewer. Bradley said the agreement allows Fieldstone Meadows to recoup a portion of the costs for installing the sewer line and noted that Alturas School intends to connect to the same line and will still pay required hookup fees.

Councilwoman Tonya Hillman moved to approve the agreement; Councilwoman Melanie Allen seconded. A roll call vote recorded unanimous approval. The agreement establishes the mechanism by which Fieldstone Meadows may recover eligible installation costs from later connections; the record does not state the amount to be recouped or the schedule for reimbursement.
