The Town of Chancellor Board of Trustees approved a $72,804 contract with Astech for a slurry-seal project and agreed to a Task Order Amendment with engineering firm DGR through Dec. 31, 2025.
Trustee Jenni Bartmann moved to approve the Astech Slurry Seal contract in the amount of $72,804; Trustee Bailey Ludens seconded and the motion carried. Bartmann also moved to enter a Task Order Amendment to the Master Agreement with DGR through Dec. 31, 2025; Ludens seconded and that motion carried.
DGR representative Trent Bruce told trustees the discussion covered end-of-construction items, change orders, closing paperwork, warranty work, wastewater regionalization possibilities, a Task Order Contract, a slurry-seal quote, and Davis-Bacon certification requirements for project phases. The minutes note staff discussed staggered utility-rate increases but do not record specific rate actions.
Because the Astech contract required reallocating budgeted funds, Trustee Bailey Ludens moved to hold a special meeting to amend the 2025 budget on Tuesday, July 15 at 7 p.m. at Chancellor Town Hall; the motion carried.
What this means: the town will proceed with pavement maintenance under the Astech contract, and DGR will continue to support construction closeout and related project work under the amended Task Order. The minutes do not specify exact project limits or pavement segments to be treated, nor do they list a revised budget line-by-line.
Next steps: the board will meet in a special session on July 15 to amend the 2025 budget to cover the contract; the DGR Task Order Amendment runs through Dec. 31, 2025.
