Rigby council advances alcohol-service ordinance and approves publishing revised water and sewer connection fees

Public Works Director Mitch Bradley presented an updated engineering study supporting maximum connection fees: a maximum in-city water connection fee of $7,078.63 and a maximum in-city sewer connection fee of $10,804.16. Bradley recommended setting both in-city water and sewer connection fees at $6,000 per connection and adopting the study-supported amounts for out-of-city connections ($7,078.63 for water; $10,804.16 for sewer). The council voted to approve publishing Resolution No. 232-2026 for public hearing by unanimous roll call.
The publishing vote starts the public notice process for the revised fees; the council may later adopt the fees after hearing public comment and any further adjustments required by ordinance or resolution.
