Rigby council unanimously approves BG Development rezoning for infill housing

Kramer said the request supports the Comprehensive Plan by concentrating growth where services already exist and avoiding additional lane miles.
Planning and Zoning and city staff confirmed the parcel configuration and said R-2 buffering would be preserved along R-1 boundaries; staff recommended approval based on code compliance. Council members noted the request appeared consistent with surrounding zoning and prior decisions in the area and voted to approve the rezoning by roll call.
No members of the public spoke in opposition specifically to this request; the minutes note that attendees who signed in were participants in the earlier hearing. The council approved the zone change and the motion carried unanimously.
