Council places proposed one-year moratorium on new data centers into committee for study

Mayor Paul F. Marnecheck told the council the pause is intended to provide time to "better understand data centers so that we can come up with appropriate guidance." The ordinance, as introduced, would halt new data-center zoning, occupancy, conditional use and building permit processing for one year while staff and council examine data-center impacts and potential local regulations.
