Don Peters (speaker 7), who said he is a patient and spoke on behalf of Hermes Healthcare, described services the provider delivers (nail care, callus reduction, plantar wart freezing, basic wound-care referrals) and said the group serves roughly 120 people across Pratt County and brings about 40 patients on a typical visit. Peters said Hermes would be willing to pay $100 per day for use of the Gold Room and asked the commission not to lose the service to neighboring Kingman.
City staff explained that the community center rental rate had risen to $50 per hour (eight hours = $400), but a 0.5 (half) rate for municipal building small rooms had been discussed and would fit Hermes' budget. Staff proposed and the commission approved charging $100/day for the Gold Room (or half-hour pricing if shorter), and specified dates in July and August to formalize the arrangement.
Commissioners praised the service and approved a motion to allow Hermes' use of the Gold Room at the discussed rate; staff will coordinate calendar entries and building access with Hermes ahead of the scheduled visits.
