Pratt City awards 2025 mill-and-overlay contract to APAC at $144,233.30

Public works director Russ Rampart (speaker 1) said staff solicited bids for milling and overlays focused on Washington Street (a main school route), Maple Street and targeted thermal-crack repairs. Two bids were received; Rampart noted APAC has been the frequent low bidder and recommended awarding the work to APAC.
Commission moved and seconded the award and approved it by voice vote. Rampart said the work is typically budgeted from the annual street 0.25— sales tax fund and that staff will schedule the work to minimize disruption to school traffic and bus routes.
Staff said additional street projects and KDOT cost-share opportunities are under review for 2026; this award covers the 2025 program stated in commission packets.
