Committee advances expungement change, pauses debate and recommits election bill

On election-related legislation, Mr. Clemens said members were still receiving substantial public comment on H.3176 and moved to adjourn debate until the committee’s next agenda; the motion carried. For H.3197, Mr. Clemens moved and the committee agreed to recommit the bill to the elections and ethics law subcommittee for an additional hearing and outreach to stakeholders.
The hearing concluded and the Chair adjourned the meeting.
