Treasurer Todd Maddock reported the district’s financial position at the June 16 meeting: TD operating and money-market balances totaled $510,238.45 as of May 31, and the Trustees of the Trust Fund at BNH held $1,017,157.15. Commissioners approved a series of payments and administrative actions recorded below.
Trihedral invoice: Commissioners approved payment of a Trihedral invoice for $8,136 covering multi-year software upgrades after Commissioner Howard Epstein raised cybersecurity and upgrade needs. Howard moved to approve the payment; the motion passed unanimously.
Energy procurement authorization: An analysis presented by Mara Maddock estimated annual electricity savings of about $9,000 if the district used an alternative supplier. The board voted to authorize the treasurer to use Freedom Energy Logistics’ supplier-rate survey service and to permit the treasurer to select suppliers periodically based on the survey; the motion passed unanimously.
Parcel consolidations and abatements: The board approved administrative billing changes for several combined parcels so that single annual bills will be issued and the paired parcel will be abated: 3 and 9 Oakland Ave (billing to 9 Oakland), 33 and 37 Buckboard Drive (billing to 37 Buckboard), and 46 and 52 Sagamore Road (billing to 52 Sagamore). All three motions passed 4-0. Separately, the board ordered the abatement and refund for 24 Overlook Ridge (Fink Family Trust) after concluding the property is not connected to the district.
Other recorded actions: The board approved May 19 and June 9 minutes (each passed unanimously), accepted Zoom as the standard meeting access method for public and staff participation, and noted clerk recruitment will continue following a resignation. The meeting adjourned at 9:10 p.m.
