City Administrator Cole Herder asked the council to approve Change Order No. 1 for the Water System Improvements — Tower Rehab Project (CDBG Project 18‑PF‑015). The change order covers replacing existing wood mounting surfaces with 1/4‑inch steel plate at main electrical panels, replacing leg and roof ladders with OSHA/AWWA‑compliant ladders, removing abandoned electrical, performing grout repair around an inlet pipe footing, and removing a nonoperational catwalk and tornado alarm that did not meet OSHA access standards.
Councilmember Lassman moved to approve Change Order No. 1 for $12,900 and Councilmember McDaniel seconded; the motion carried. The change order was executed as part of ongoing CDBG‑funded tower rehabilitation work; the council did not record additional contingency or funding shifts at the meeting.
