Harrison council approves consent calendar, tables TAP and hears public comment on communications

At its Oct. 10 meeting, the Harrison City Council approved the consent calendar — including payment of September bills and the Sept. 12 minutes — after a motion by Councilmember Josephine Prophet and a second from Joe Cornell. The consent calendar passed on a unanimous vote.
Councilmember Charlie Shutt moved to table the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP); Debbie Lockhart seconded and the council voted unanimously to table the matter. The minutes show several department reports listed as N/A: HMH Engineering; City Attorney Andy Doman; Public Works Josh Burg; City Clerk Miriah Pfeiffer; and Treasurer Mary Riberich. Committee assignments were noted: Administration Committee (Josephine Prophet), Public Works Committee (Debbie Lockhart) and Economic Development Committee (Charlie Shutt). The Urban Renewal Agency assignment was not listed in the minutes.
During public comment, Jennifer McMenomy said she feels communication with elected council members is obstructed; she stated she emails the city clerk but that the mayor must review messages first. No formal response or action on that comment is recorded in the minutes.
