At the start of the July 22 meeting the Seabrook Island Board of Zoning Appeals elected Sue Shening as chair for 2026 by voice vote and also confirmed a vice chair. Members then moved to approve the previous meeting minutes with a second and voice vote.
The chair and staff handled routine meeting business before the board heard Variance No. 194. Toward the end of the meeting planning staff reminded members of the annual three-hour training requirement for planning and zoning officials; the transcript records staff asking members to complete the training before the end of the year. The board adjourned after confirming there was no further business.
