Collbran trustees set regular meeting schedule, renew Collbran Cafe license and direct school waterline talks

At its Jan. 7 meeting the Town of Collbran Board of Trustees approved a resolution establishing its regular meeting schedule, granted the Collbran Cafe an annual liquor license renewal, approved prior meeting minutes and December expenditures, and gave direction to staff to negotiate an intergovernmental agreement with the Plateau Valley School District concerning a school waterline.
Resolution No. 1, Series 2025, sets regular meetings for the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6:00 p.m. and designates inside and outside Town Hall and the town website as the permanent places of notice. The resolution passed with Trustee Price recorded as the sole ‘‘no’’ vote.
The board unanimously approved the Collbran Cafe’s liquor license renewal. The minutes record a motion approving the Nov. 5 and Dec. 3 minutes (Trustee Price voted no on approval) and approval of the December 2024 expenditures. Trustee Price requested that board packets be made available by the Friday before meetings to allow more time for review; the request was recorded in the minutes.
On a separate item, the Board directed Town Attorney Scarbeary to move forward with negotiations with the school district’s attorney on the school waterline and to return a final intergovernmental agreement to the board for review; Mr. Scarbeary said he expects an IGA to be ready for the February meeting.
Trustee Evans proposed beginning discretionary fund presentations on Jan. 21 at 6 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
