Betty Hainline appeared before the Hoyt City Council on Oct. 1 to request that the city open the road by her house to address difficulties with her listed address and emergency response access.
Council member Joe Romans said he would contact county emergency medical services to ensure they know where Hainline's house is in an emergency. Romans also said he would check with Kenny Bryan about adding gravel to make the way look like a road so emergency responders could better identify and reach the property.
