The board discussed expanding the marked cutting area on the Town Forest property on Florence Road for a spring timber cut; the minutes say an updated contract and cost information will be provided at a future meeting. Members also discussed access and harvesting plans for the Chittenden property and said they will look at access via an abutting property owner; a cost estimate will be supplied later.
Under other business the board asked the Town Manager to investigate options to enforce cleanup at 2651 West Street and to review the town’s junk ordinance for possible enforcement tools. The board additionally agreed to invite legislators to the April meeting for a session update and to seek an update on the Tri‑Town Path in May or June.
Departmental reports included a sheriff’s report (tickets: 1; warnings: 1; arrests: 0; fines: $162) and Town Manager Judy Frazier provided regular departmental updates. The board recorded a citizen complaint about speeding on South Street and agreed to invite the sheriff to the next meeting for discussion.
