Hunter council sets Sept. 10 deadline for overdue water account after 13,937-gallon loss

On Sept. 3, 2024, the City of Hunter Council reviewed a water report that documented a loss of 13,937 gallons and two households on the late-water list. Council members directed City Clerk Laura Pahls to search for the source of the leak, lock unused meter cans and secure PVC cleanouts, and take other steps to prevent further loss.
Councilmember Don Garnett moved that the account associated with meter #24 be brought current by Sept. 10; Gary Sloggett seconded the motion and it carried. The minutes record the deadline and the directive to staff; no roll-call tally was recorded in the minutes.
